MUNTING TAHANAN NANG NAZARETH (the Little House of Nazareth)
Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines
“Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.”
― Mother Teresa
Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth / The little house of Nazareth
... is a home and shelter for the poor, surrendered and abandoned mentally challenged, autistic, epileptic children... and people with special needs.
NOOBS came to this shelter because our very own Sis Alice Cunanan Koch wanted to share her time and blessings to the less fortunate while she’s on her short vacation in Pampanga. Thank you so much Ate Alice, you yourself have a big heart.
We were serenaded by some of the boys of the shelter and gave us a dance number after.
NOOBS gave away t-shirts and treated them with lunch. Most of the children can’t feed themselves so there were volunteers who do that for them. Some volunteers are students and residents of the nearby areas. Some NOOBs members laid down their cameras to help the volunteers in feeding the residents of the home.
It was a very short time spent in this home but the experience gave me another reason to be thankful, humbled, and grounded...
at the same time inspired by people who have big hearts in the aid of the needy.
Thank you so much to Ms Yonie Santos and for all the volunteers who accommodated our visit at Munting Tahana ng Nazareth.
Thanks again Ate Alice for the time... God Bless you more...
The experience is carved in my heart...
