Completed in 1710, the Saint Agustin Church of Paoay, Ilocos Norte was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 and it is one of the Spanish era churches collectively known as the “Baroque Churches of the Philippines” proclaimed by UNESCO.
Famously known as Paoay Church, its style falls under the Baroque style of Architecture. One of the most interesting features of the church is its 24 massive buttresses around the church. Its walls are made of coral stones and bricks with sand and lime.
